RallyC ross is so fun to watch. I think it’s all good, it’s a contact sport.

mmm.... I’d say he needed to leave a lane, he did not clear the redbull. Honestly, he could have left a lane and probably ended up even farther out in front.

dirty. He speared him. It would have been clean if he drifted under him and hit him door to door, but bumper to door is dirty... imho

3:33 mark for the impatient

I’m really undecided myself.
“Racing incident” is the phrase that comes to mind - it’s not good racing, but it doesn’t look like a dirty pass (intentional ramming) to my eyes either, it looks like a loss of control.

As my middle school football coach said, “If you ain’t cheatin’ you aint’ trying” so I’ll say it’s “clean”

After DQing Hansen a few years ago for a similar move the precedent is set for that move drawing penalties.

Didn’t leave racing room. Dirty. However I think there was some surprise involved and hitting flat side to side is better than pulling
a PIT turn on another racer
I guess.

Not quite apples to apples. Hansen’s penalty was as much for violating track limits as for the contact. And Raymond was already somewhat alongside at the jump, while Hansen was a couple car- lengths back and just forced his way inside at the corner.

They are both examples of a driver mis-judging a corner and pushing the car in front out of the way to make a pass. The FIA has dropped the DQ hammer for far less.

I don’t think Timmy misjudged, I think he knew exactly what he was doing. Raymond though looks like he got caught out landing half on the dirt and as a result his car braking unevenly as one side had grip and the other didn’t, which put him into Nitiss. Totally unintentional but I do think he should have been placed back behind Nitiss as a result.

He is landing outside the track and loses control of the car. He would have ended up in the gravel trap on the outside if Nitiss wasn’t there, so the given penalty is correct in my opinion.

I agree with him getting a penalty, but I disagree with the severity. When Hansen did his move deliberately he was just dropped back to second. Raymond’s move was accidental and they dropped him to fourth. I think putting him second behind Nitiss like they did with Hansen would have been enough
